The Friends Of The Auditorium, Inc. is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the current and future use of Memorial Auditorium. Our mission is two-fold: to offset the cost of maintaining and improving the Auditorium through ticket sales, fundraising activities and maintenance projects, and to promote the wider use of the facility for the cultural enhancement of the community. We are always looking for additional members. If you enjoy the arts and are interested in becoming a member, we would love to have you join “the Friends”. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month and last approximately one hour. We have no work or time requirements, so volunteer as much time and talent as you are comfortable with. Get involved with the Arts and see what it’s all about! |

“So what do we actually do?”, you ask. The Friends produce the Hometown Showcase Series, by writing the shows, organizing the bands, performers, ushers and volunteers, designing and building the sets, selling tickets, purchasing advertising and directing the productions. The Friends also underwrite the Great Entertainers Series. Our board of directors researches artists from around the world and decide which ones to present to the community. The Friends bring in the Missoula Children’s Theatre each year to give the children of our community an opportunity to perform on the “big stage”. The Friends employ a ticket sales associate to run the Ticket Office of the Memorial Auditorium. The Friends, being a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, use all profits to support the Memorial Auditorium by maintaining and renewing all stage, light and technical equipment, helping with building maintenance and improvements and renting the building for performances. Our goal is to enrich the quality of peoples’ lives through the power of the arts.

Renovation Fundraiser
The Memorial Auditorium will undergo a renovation starting in June of 2010 through April 1, 2011. It will consist of the removal of the old side lobby to make room for a new larger lobby that will include the Box Office, larger rest rooms, stairway to the upper balcony, concession booth, and air conditioning and insulation for the main building. During this time, the Friends will be unable to have a regular season, so they have started a fundraiser to last the entire time of the renovation. Introducing the…….. Renovation Fundraiser eBay Store! Here is how it works: Donate your vintage items, books and glassware, CD’s, DVD’s, new or gently worn clothing and shoes, collectibles, tools and miscellaneous. Items will be auctioned off on the Friends eBay Store. If you wish to simply shop at the Friends Store, that will help our cause, as well! Look under stores on: www.ebay.com for Friends of the Auditorium. Monies received will be used by the Friends to continue their mission in support of Memorial Auditorium. Please! No TVs, computers, or large furniture items. All donations must be saleable. To donate, call (507) 376-9101 for an appointment. Or stop by the Ticket Office Mon—Fri from 9am – 1pm
